Our weekend

This weekend was really nice. Saturday we went out to dinner with the rest of the office, we had Chinese. It was delicious. I love Chinese food. Eating with chopsticks is so much fun. If I could I would eat other foods with chopsticks, but that might seem kinda strange.
(Thought: what's it going to be like when we go out with the office for dinner after we have the baby? That'll be a change!)
After dinner Devin and I went to Burlington Coat Factory to spend the rest of his birthday gift card. He was able to get 3 more shirts, which is awesome. He really needed some.
Sunday we went to the first two meetings of church, cause by the time the third one comes along my hips are really sore and I just can't sit anymore. After church Devin and I watched a Redbox movie that we had rented on Sat. night. Then we got a call from Chad (One of the guys that Devin works with.) inviting us to dinner with him, his wife, and his brother. Of course we said yes, so we had a little BBQ out by the river. It was a lot of fun. We also got some super sweet pictures of everyone plus Rex.
THEN we all came home and played some Killer Bunnies. It was soooo nice. I have missed playing that game so much. It is a ridiculous and crazy game, but so much fun. If you've never heard of it, you're missing out. Go learn about it, then play it. You won't regret it.

Devin and I by the river. James took this pic. It turned out really good.
It's like my new favorite.

This is Chad and Ashley and their super cute dog, Rex.

Devin skipping Rocks.

The super adorable Rex. (Devin took this pic. It turned out awesome.)

This is James. I really like the way his picture turned out.

These are just some of the things we saw while down by the river. The two huge houses were across the river and absolutely huge/beautiful. There were also a ton of people on boats out in the river. I guess it's a very popular Sunday activity here. Devin took the random plane picture. He plane was super close to the ground, cause the airport was just across the river.

There ya go. Our weekend. Fun, fun, fun.

Also, after Wed. I could pop at any moment. Just in case you were wondering.

Cooking...

Is not my thing lately. Unfortunately I wasn't warned that I would pretty much fail at cooking anything new. I've never had this bad of luck in the kitchen.
I was trying to bake a nice cake with cream cheese frosting for Devin's birthday (since cream cheese frosting is his favorite), but the cake is not turning out.
So we're going out for his birthday dinner. End of story. I'm too pregnant to be doing this.

He really liked his present though. It makes me happy.

Devin's gift didn't come in the mail today. Supposed to be here tomorrow, but that's still lame. Cause his birthday is tomorrow!

We met with the doctor this morning. It was good. We found out some very good/positive information.
He (along with everyone else) felt the need to make sure that I understood that I shouldn't be super set on how the birth should go. Like don't get upset if things don't go the way you are wanting them to. Holy Hannah! I know, I get it, lay off already. Just because I'm a first time mom doesn't mean that I'm completely ignorant and uninformed. Sheesh.

We still don't have a diaper bag or the cloth diapers that we need, cause they are both a little bit expensive. I'm slightly freaking out about this fact, cause she could seriously be here in just a couple of weeks if she wanted to.

Devin is going to be such a good daddy, a cute one too. His sales are picking up a little, so that's good.

Last weekend we didn't get to go out on a date, so I just make some spaghetti for dinner. It was nice, but I still wish that we could go out more. However, we did get to spend some time with our cousins Kristi and Jeff. We watched a cute movie. I don't remember the name, but it was good. Plus it was really nice to have some friends over. So it was a great weekend.

...

I'm in my 35th week of pregnancy. It's coming so fast! They should seriously have class for first time parents... not just a Lamaze class, but a class all about parenting and stuff. That's just my opinion.

My mom got to come see us for a couple of days this week. The main reason for her visit was to bring us our car and give her back her gas guzzling vehicle. That thing was eating Devin and I alive. I'm very happy to have our cute little car back. While she was her she helped us out by buying us a few things that we needed. The main ones being a carseat and stroller. I think they are pretty sweet. They are kind of ordinarily simple, but I like that. I didn't want one cover in jungle animals or Winnie-the-Pooh. Not that there is anything wrong with that. It's just not for me. Now all we reeeeally need is the diaper bag. Hopefully we'll be able to get that at the beginning of next month. It was really good to get to see me mum for wee bit.

Did you know that 99% of babies born now (as in 35 weeks) do just fine and don't usually have any long term health problems? I found that to be a comforting fact.

Tonight we are having pizza for dinner with the whole office. Sounds like fun. Especially since that means that I don't have to cook.
Last night I totally failed at making alfredo sauce from scratch. Partially my fault, partially bad recipe. I mostly blame the recipe.

I'm hoping this weekend will be better than the last couple have been.
Last Saturday I went to the pool with the other wives. It was way fun, but I'm obviously not the brightest all the time, cause I didn't put on any sunscreen. Granted we didn't have any, but still... I should have used my head. I got one of the worst sunburns I've had in a while. I looked like a cherry.
Then we went bowling. So picture this... VERY pregnant woman who is bowling and looks like a cherry.
Kinda funny, right?
Also, bowling is hard when you're 34 weeks pregnant.
Thankfully my sunburn is gradually turning into a tan. Yay!

I can't wait to get to sleep on my stomach again. There are some nights that I want to so badly it's not even funny. Nobody ever told me about how bad your hips can hurt when you're pregnant. They probably do that on purpose, cause other wise nobody would ever want to have a baby. Sneaky, sneaky those people are.

I think they should invent a way to be able to tell whether or not your baby is going to have hair when she is born and what color it is. I'm DYING to know.

I ordered Devin's B-Day present today. He is going to LOOOOOVE it.
Hint, it came from here:

Totally gives it away, I know. haha

Devin's Birthday

I just recently became really

 excited for Devin's Birthday.

 I know exactly what

I'm getting him and it's even better

than what he is asking for.

He is going to LOVE it.

Don't tell him though.

Did you know?

Did you know that having an Episiotomy can actually make a tear in the perineum worse?

Did you know that lying on your back to give birth is actually one of the worst positions?

Did you know that "wearing" your baby instead of taking them everywhere in a car seat can actually reduce crying and fussiness?

Did you know that disposable diapers really aren't the best thing to be putting on your baby's bottom?

Did you know that there are a lot of risks with getting an epidural and there are close to zero risks with doing a natural birth?

Did you know that it benefits baby more if you wait to cut the umbilical cord until after its done pulsating?

Did you know that I knew none of this till after I got pregnant?
Do your research if you are pregnant. Learn about the options.

33 Weeks

Today I'm 33 weeks pregnant. It's cool, but also frightening because I'm ridiculously close to having this baby.

Devin is doing really good at work. Last week he got like 6 or 7 sales. He had 9, but some of them canceled. Lame-butts.

Devin and I have been having kind of a hard time up here socially.

I don't really having anything else to say that's nice/upbeat/happy.
